PROJECT SCOPE AND DESCRIPTION:
- Key Objectives – Develop a 325-unit single-family detached subdivision on 107 acres in Wakulla County
- Challenges – The property required a Comprehensive Plan Amendment to change the future land use from Agriculture to Suburban Transition, which allows five units per acre.
- Solutions Provided – UC2 worked with Wakulla County in approving a Comprehensive Plan Amendment and Rezoning to allow the subdivision.
DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION DETAILS:
- Engineering Services Provided – Civil design: roadway, lift station, utility design, Comprehensive Plan Amendment and rezoning.
- Collaboration – UC2 collaborated with Wakulla County to provide capacity within the sewer system.
UNIQUE FACTORS FOR THE PROJECT:
- Special Design – Neighborhood design included the extension of the existing Songbird Avenue through the development for a connection to Shadeville Road.
- Size/Scale – 107-acre parcel, 325 single-family detached residential units
